Abstract
Rinse off hair treatment compositions comprise particles wherein at least 90% by weight of the particles have an average maximum dimension of from 10 nm to 300 μm, the particles comprising a silicone wax having one or more Cto C, branched or unbranched, saturated or unsaturated, optionally substituted hydrocarbon groups and the wax having a melting point of from 30° C. to 100° C. The compositions can be used in a method of treating hair which comprises: applying to the hair particles wherein at least 90% by weight of the particles have an average maximum dimension of from 10 μm to 300 μm, the particles comprising a silicone wax having one or more Cto C, branched or unbranched, saturated or unsaturated, optionally substituted hydrocarbon groups and the wax having a melting point of from 30° C. to 100° C.; and heating the hair to a temperature above the melting point of the particles.
