Abstract

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and apparatus for compressed sensing. In some embodiments, the apparatus () generally includes a receiving element () operable to receive an input signal, an integrate/dump circuit (), a sampling element (), and a processor (). The integrate/dump circuit () is operable to integrate at least a portion of the received signal to provide an integrated signal and the sampling element () is operable to sample the integrated signal at a first sampling rate which is less than the Nyquist rate for the input signal. The processor () is operable to form a compressed sensing matrix utilizing a first set of time indices corresponding to the first sampling rate, form a measurement vector utilizing at least a portion of the sampled signal, and reconstruct at least a portion of the input signal utilizing the compressed sensing matrix and the measurement vector.
