Abstract

The invention relates to the use of chiral sulfamic acids as resolving agents, the sulfamic acid having the formula (R,R)N—SO3H, wherein: Rand R, being the same or different, represent a hydrogen atom or a C-Clinear, branched or cyclic (hetero)-aliphatic or (hetero)-aromatic group, provided that Rand Rare not both hydrogen and that at least one of the Rand Rgroups is chiral. Further, methods for resolving enantiomeric mixtures are disclosed.
