Abstract
Program data stored in the recording medium of a general control apparatus coupled to a network is stored in the recording medium of a control apparatus as a rewritten subject of program data in the following manner. First, program datastored in a recording mediumcontained within the general control apparatusis sent via the networkof a vehicle to the recording mediumof a second control apparatusas the rewritten subject of program data (see a path L). In this case, the program datastored in the recording mediumcontained in the general control apparatusfor generally controlling the control apparatusesis sent to the networkof the vehicle when it is determined to be optimum by the CPUof the general control apparatus. The program data sent to the networkof the vehicle is sent via the networkof the vehicle to the second control apparatusas the rewritten subject of program data. Then, the second control apparatusas the rewritten subject of program data stores the program datasent via the networkof the vehicle into the recording medium
