Abstract

A rotary encoder is clamped coaxially with its pickup shaft () on a drive shaft () which is to be measured. Two collet chucks are provided for this purpose. The one collet chuck is constructed as a clamping sleeve, which penetrates the pickup shaft () axially and has clamping jaws () on its free end. The other collet chuck is constructed as a clamping ring, which engages the pickup shaft () with clamping jaws (). The two collet chucks are clamped axially against each other and against the pickup shaft () by a force element ().
