Abstract
A composition for an optical film comprising a stabilized cyanine dye and a quencher compound, wherein the stabilized cyanine dye comprises a cation and a quencher anion, and the cation is selected from the group consisting of compounds of the following formulae (I) to (III): wherein each of rings A and A' which are independent of each other, is a benzene ring, a naphthalene ring or a pyridine ring, each of Rand Rwhich are independent of each other, is a halogen atom, a nitro group, a cyano group, a Caryl group, a Calkyl group or a Calkoxy group, each of R, Rand Rwhich are independent of one another, is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a cyano group, a Caryl group, a diphenylamino group or a Calkyl group, each of X and X′ which are independent of each other, is an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, a selenium atom, a propan-2,2-diyl group, a butane-2,2-diyl group, a Ccycloalkane-1,1-diyl group, —NH— or —NY—, each of Y, Y′ and Ywhich are independent of one another, is a Corganic group, and each of r and r′ which are independent of each other, is an integer of from 0 to 2.
