The invention relates to an airbag module for a motor vehicle comprising an airbag, a gas generator for inflating the airbag, and a housing for accommodating both the gas generator and the airbag. According to the invention, the airbag () and the gas generator () are arranged on opposite sides () of a wall () of the housing ().
