Abstract
A system and method for the regeneration of a particle filter () arranged downstream from a catalyzer unit () in an exhaust canal () arranged to an internal combustion engine (), where the internal combustion engine () is arranged to assume a first operational mode () in which a driving torque is emitted and a second operational mode () constituting engine braking where the internal combustion engine () supplies compression work to a gas mixture which flows through the exhaust canal () without a corresponding expansion work having been emitted from the gas mixture, and a vehicle where the method is utilized.
