Abstract
An image heating apparatus for heating an image on a recording material has a magnetic flux generator for generating a magnetic flux; a heat generation member for generating heat by the magnetic flux generated by the magnetic flux generator; a magnetic flux adjusting member for adjusting the magnetic flux acting on the heat generation member, wherein the heat generation member includes at least a metal layer having a thickness smaller than a thickness of a surface layer, and the magnetic flux adjusting member is disposed at a position across the magnetic flux generator from the heat generation member.
