A locking hinge () includes a first hinge panel () and a second hinge panel () pivotably connected by a pivot pin () about a pivoting axis (P). A locking rod () is slidably received by one of the first or second hinge panels () along a sliding axis (S). The sliding axis (S) is substantially parallel the pivoting axis (P). A vehicle door structure () includes a first panel () pivotably connected relative a second panel () by a first hinge (). A third panel () is pivotably connected relative the second panel () by the locking hinge (). Pivotable movement of the second panel () relative the third panel () is prevented when the locking hinge () is in a locked state.
