Abstract

Alternating torque {tilde over (M)}(φ) or the mean indicated pressure Pis to be determined from the angular velocity ω from the engine speed, for engine management, for example. Charge pressure compensation () must be effected in order for a usable result to be obtained. By preference sensor wheel error compensation () and inertial force compensation () are also effected. The mean indicated pressure Pis obtained from the alternating torque {tilde over (M)}(φ) in a characteristic diagram.
