Abstract
The silsesquioxane derivative of the invention is represented by Formula (1), and it may be utilized as additives to ordinary organic polymers for improving the flame retardancy, heat resistance, weather resistance, light resistance, electric insulating property, surface property, hardness, mechanical strength and chemical resistance thereof. In Formula (1), R is hydrogen, alkyl, aryl or arylalkyl; at least one Y is a group represented by Formula (2) and the other Y is hydrogen; in Formula (2), Rand Rare a group independently defined similarly to R; and Z is preferably a functional group, or a group having a functional group.
