Abstract

An MRI system () comprises a housing () defining an examination space () for receiving a body for examination, a patient table () being displaceable into and out of the examination space (), a magnetic field generating system () for generating a magnetic field in the examination space (), and an electromagnetic resonance receive system () which comprises a set of dedicated receive coils (). According to the invention at least one dedicated receive coil () is fixedly attached to the housing ().
