Abstract
Disclosed is an injection unit () for an injection molding machine, comprising a screw () that is driven by means of a spindle drive (). The spindle drive () is driven via an electric motor (). Additionally, a force that acts in an axial direction is transmitted to the screw of the injection unit () via a hydraulic cylinder (). According to the invention, a pump () is driven via the electric motor (). A pressure chamber () of the cylinder () can be supplied with more pressurizing means via said pump () than is needed during an axial displacement of the plunger ().
