Abstract
A swab testing device comprises a container () containing a diluent (), a cap () detachably mounted on an opening of the container, an elongating stick () secured to or integral with the cap, and a cotton swab () connected to a leading end of the stick and immersed in the diluent when the container opening is closed with the cap. The cap provides a communicating channel () communicatable with the interior () of the container and also communicatable with the atmosphere by an aperture () formed on the cap. The cap also includes a lid () by which the aperture may be opened and closed. Any liquid in the container may be discharged through the communicating channel and the aperture, when the lid is opened to communicate the channel with the atmosphere through the aperture, even when the container opening remains closed with the cap.
