Abstract
An LCD device () includes a first substrate () and a second substrate (), a liquid crystal layer () interposed between the substrates. Each pixel regions of the LCD device includes a reflection region and a transmission region. A pre-tilt angle of liquid crystal molecules adjacent to one of the substrates is in a range of 0° to 15°, and a pre-tilt angle of liquid crystal molecules adjacent to another substrate is in a range of 75° to 90°. This structure ensures the LCD device has a fast response time.
