Abstract
A current sensor comprises an outer shielding means (), a toroidal inner core and inner shield means (). A combined driving and sensing winding () is wound around the inner core. First and second ends of the winding () are connectable to a sensor head. The inner shield means () has a gap (A) formed in it.
