Abstract

An electrostatic dust precipitator () is constructed mainly to include a housing () in which an air path () communicating between an inlet () and an outlet (), an airstream generating unit () that causes generation of an airstream in the air path (), a discharging unit () and a discharge guide unit () that charge fine particulate () with a corona discharge (), a charging unit () that causes the fine particulate () charged with the corona discharge () to repel in accordance with a coulomb force, an attracting unit () that allows the fine particulate () to be attracted in accordance with the coulomb force and that thereby collects the fine particulate (), a voltage supply unit () that supplies a discharge voltage for generation of the corona discharge () and for repelling by the charging unit () in accordance with the coulomb force, and a drive controller unit () that causes rotational driving of discharge plates and attracting plates.
