Abstract
Process and apparatus for monitoring the condition of a rotating belt in a paper or cardboard machine. The process includes recording data related to a condition of the belt, and creating an at least two-dimensional image of the belt condition from the recorded condition data. The image depicts a condition characteristic in a machine travel direction and a condition characteristic in a machine crosswise direction.
