Abstract
A centrifugal pump () is proposed, in particular for household appliances, such as washing machines or dishwashers, which comprises a pump housing () having an axial inlet (), an outlet () and a heating element, wherein the pump housing () incorporates a rotatably mounted impeller () and a flow channel () enveloping the impeller () and heating element. The centrifugal pump () according to the invention is intended to have improved efficiency. This is achieved by having the flow cross-section of the flow channel () increase along the periphery toward the outlet ().
