Abstract

A key system () for a motor vehicle comprises transmitter electronics arranged inside a housing () and used for the contactless locking and/or unlocking of a door of the motor vehicle and/or operation of the motor vehicle. The system further comprises an emergency key () for mechanically locking and/or unlocking the door of the motor vehicle and/or for the operation of the motor vehicle. The emergency key is received inside the housing () in a substantially complete manner.
