Abstract
A grid cleaneris fixed to a fixing holderof an apparatus main body in such a way that a wet spongefaces a grid. When a charging deviceis made to slide in the direction indicated by arrow A, the wet spongecomes into contact with a surface of the grid, thereby removing extraneous matters therefrom. Reference numeraldenotes a stopper projection that prevents the charging devicefrom being disconnected from the apparatus main body at times other than during cleaning. The stopper projectionextends toward a gap rollerside so as to serve as a guide portionthat prevents the wet spongeof the grid cleanerand the gap rollerfrom rubbing against each other.
