Abstract
An automotive keyless smart-start assemblyfor use in an automobileis provided including an automotive enginehaving an operating condition and a stopped condition. An ignition controller, having a locked state and an unlocked state, is in communication with the automotive engine. A receptacle binis mounted to the automobileand is in communication with the ignition controller. The receptacle binis movable between a closed positionand an open position. A portable electronic transmitter element, including a security code, communicates the security codeto the ignition controllerupon being positioned within the receptacle bin. The ignition controllerverifies the security codeand moves to the unlocked state upon verification. The receptacle binmoves to the closed positionupon verification. An ignition buttonis in communication with the ignition controllerand signals the ignition controllerto move the automotive engineinto the operating condition when the ignition controlleris in the unlocked state.
