Abstract
Thermoplastic elastomer composition dynamically vulcanized with a 50 to 95% gelation rate has superior heat resistance, durability, and air permeation prevention, is flexible and usable as a pneumatic tire air permeation preventive layer. A composition having reduced domain rubber particle size is produced from a high rubber ratio material by mixing composition (C) under melt viscosities ratio of rubber composition (A)/resin (B) of 0.8 to 1.2 and formula (φ/φ)×(η/η)<1.0 under melt viscosities ratio of rubber composition (D)/composition (C) of 0.8 to 1.2 and formula (φ/φ)×(η/η)<1.0, wherein φ, φ, φand φare volume fractions of rubber composition (A) and resin (B), composition (C) and rubber composition (D), respectively, ηη, η, and ηare melt viscosities of rubber composition (A), resin (B), composition (C), and rubber composition (D), respectively. The thermoplastic elastomer composition may have an elastomer composition (A) dispersion phase and a thermoplastic resin composition (B) matrix.
