Abstract
A motor vehicle door lock having a casing (), a drive () and a fixing device () for the drive (). The fixing device () has a receiving element () for the drive () and the drive is fixed in the receiving element () by the fixing device (). The receiving element () is configured at least partly in a resilient manner and has a resiliently movable part (), the receiving element () can be placed in a position that fixes or releases the drive () in the receiving element (), preferably by elastic deformation. The fixing device () has an actuatable locking device (). By actuating the locking device (), it engages with the receiving element () and brings the receiving element () into a position by which retains the drive ().
