Abstract
A method, apparatus, and computer instructions for managing event information in a logical partitioned data processing system. A determination is made as to whether an event for a resource is present in a first event log in a first partition in response to reallocation of the resource from the first partition to a second partition. In response to the event being present, the event is placed in a second event log in the second partition. As a result, analysis of the second event log in the second partition takes into account the event from the first partition.
