Abstract
In a fuel injector () configured so that fuel injection is controlled by a solenoid valve (), the solenoid valve () comprises an electromagnet (), an armature bolt () that has a ball () and a plate member (A) attached thereto and is spring-biased in the valve closing direction by a spring member (), a stopper member () that limits movement of the plate member (A) in order to limit the maximum stroke of the ball () and an armature plate () through which the armature bolt () passes and which collaborates with the solenoid valve (), the contact area (S) between the armature plate () and the plate member (A) being made larger than the contact area (S) between the plate member (A) and the stopper member ().
