A plasma display device provided with a green color phosphor which is charged entirely with a positive potential, adsorbs only limited amounts of water, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbon, and not liable to cause chemical reaction thereto. The green color phosphor used is a combination of any of phosphors defined by the general formula of MMgAlO:Mn(where 'M' denotes one of La and Ce) having a magnetoplumbite crystal structure, yttrium borate group and yttrium aluminate group phosphors defined by the general formulae of (YGd) BO:Tb, (YGd) (GaAl)(BO):Tb, (YGd) (GaAl)(BO):Ce, Tb, (Y)(GaAl)O:Tband La MgAlO:Ce, Tb.
