Abstract
A vertical length measuring device () is disclosed that comprises a vertical guide (), at least one carriage () that is led vertically by the guide (), and a driving organ () for the at least one carriage (). A housing () placed around the vertical guide (), the carriage () and the driving organ (), has a longitudinal opening (), and is fastened at a foot () of the length measuring device (). A measuring head () is placed outside the housing () and is connected with the carriage through the opening () of the housing (). The invention is characterized in that behind the opening () of the housing () inside the housing (), a baffle () is placed. This advantageously prevents penetration of oil, water and dirt from outside.
