Abstract
In a Y linear driving mechanismfor moving an X linear driving mechanismin a direction Y by a linear motor comprising a statorand a moving element, there is provided a drive transmission portion which is connected to the moving elementso as to transmit a driving force of the moving element, acting in the direction Y, through a moving plateand a connecting member. A first air gap Gis formed between the moving elementand the moving plate, and a second air gap Gis formed between the moving plateand the connecting member. With this construction, the transfer of heat from the moving elementis interrupted in an operating condition, so that troubles, caused by the thermal expansion and contraction due to heat generated by the linear motor, can be prevented.
