A pumping system () for oil wells () comprises a pump () immersed at the bottom of the well () and a flow-meter () associated with the pump (), the immersed pump () being supplied by an electric supply source (). The flow-meter () is an electromagnetic flow-meter, also electrically supplied by the supply source () of the pump.
