Abstract
The invention relates to a method of operating a storage component. In order to enable a verification of the integrity of the data in the storage component, it is proposed that first a write operation for storing data in a data storage areaof the storage componentis performed. Then, a completion status fieldin the storage componentis updated, in case the write operation has been completed successfully. The updated completion status fieldindicates that the write operation has been completed successfully. The invention relates equally to a corresponding storage component and to a corresponding system.
