Abstract
A chain lock has two lock parts () which can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the lock in order to open and close the lock. Each lock part () has a journal () which is arranged on one end and a pocket () which is arranged on the other end. The journal () of one lock part () fits, respectively, into the pocket () of the other lock part (). The journals () and the pockets () are both similar in height (H) to the inner width of the lock and each journal () has several retaining frames (), associated with several retaining grooves () in the pocket () of the other lock part ().
