Abstract

The aim of the invention is to prevent local spikes from being created in a contact element of a contact arrangement used for interrupting a current in a distribution network, said contact element comprising a contact support () that encompasses a hollow cylindrical wall section () and a bottom wall (), and a contact disk () which is located opposite the bottom wall () in a longitudinal direction while slots () are provided for generating a magnetic field. Said aim is achieved by providing the slots () with rounded edges () having a defined radius.
