Abstract
The register () for papers of value (), such as bank notes and vouchers, comprises a reading unit () for reading out the memories of the integrated circuits () of the papers of value (), and is further provided with a clock and a memory. The total value present in the register () can be determined by reading out all papers of value that are present at a moment, and by repeating this if desired.
