Abstract

A method and apparatus for processing Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) signals is described, in which OFDM signals are conditioned in an OFDM modulated on the transmitter side for each symbol of a data stream to be transmitted and sent as a multicarrier signal. For each OFDM signal, the maximum amplitude of a block is determined for least one block and then normalized to a system-specific, transmitter-specific maximum value.
