Abstract
The present invention includes a bollard assemblycontaining an an elongated housing. A bollardis spaced radially inward of the housingand is axially displaceable therein. A threaded drive shaft receiveris centrally fixed within the housingfor threaded reception of a threaded drive shaft. The threaded drive shaftis thereby suspended within the housingand threadedly received by the receiver. Upon activation of the drive shaftoperably connected to the bollard, rotation of the drive shaftestablishes simultaneous vertical displacement of the drive shaftand the bollard
