Abstract
A screw () is rotated to move a head (') against a first squeeze bar () and through a threaded opening () in a second squeeze bar (), for moving the squeeze bars () relatively together. This movement rotates cam bars () in position, causing them to move a lower spread bar () away from an upper spread bar (). This pulls downwardly on a bolt () which is connected to the lower spread bar (). As the bolt () moves downwardly, its head () pushes downwardly on an upper clamp member (′), moving it towards a lower clamp member (″). This firmly clamps bottom flanges () on a conveyor slat () between the upper and lower clamps member (″), firmly securing the slat () to a transverse drive beam (′).
