Abstract

A method of operating a combustor (), to provide intimately mixed hot combusted gas () for a gas turbine (), includes feeding gaseous oxidant () and gaseous fuel () into the combustor () near a combustion flame () which has a tip end () and a root end (), where corona discharge occurs through adjustment of an electric field (), and where the corona discharge causes ionized particles () to form and also causes intimate turbulent mixing of the gases.
