Abstract
A vehicular generator-motoris composed of a rotor, a stator having three phase armature winding, and a converter. The rotor is provided with a field windingfor magnetizing a plurality of magnetic pole pieces, and permanent magnetsfor magnetizing the magnetic pole piecestogether with the field winding. When the generator-motoris operated as a motor, the converteris operated as an inverter to restrain the armature current at the time of low speed rotation to the extent of the additional magnetic flux from the permanent magnets.
