Abstract

The holder memberis rotatably supported at the tip portionof the sliding memberplaced on the guide faceof the guide memberarranged fixedly inside the cylinder C. The holder memberis inclined when the tip portionof the profiling memberis inserted between the holder memberand the sliding member. Then the tapered end of the processing rolleris pushed into the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder where the sliding memberand the profiling membermove together in the axial direction of the cylinder, thereby to form a linear groove on the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder C.
