Abstract
An electrodeless self-ballasted fluorescent lamp includes: a luminous bulbhaving a cavity portion; an induction coilinserted in the cavity portion; a ballastelectrically connected to the induction coil; and a base, wherein the luminous bulb, the ballastand the baseare configured as one unit. The luminous bulbincludes an approximately spherical outer tubeand an inner tube. At least the surface of the upper hemisphere of the outer tubeis coated with a silicone rubberhaving the property of transmitting light.
