Abstract
A powder compacting apparatus () has a top plate (), a die plate () and a bottom plate (), combined with each other as follows. The top plate () holds upper punches () in place by punch holders (), and the die plate () firmly grips a die holder () holding dies (). The bottom plate () keeps lower punches () in place gripped by clamps () so that an amount of powder fed into each die () is compacted to give a consolidated powder piece. The die plate () is composed of an upper part () and a lower part () so that the die holder () is sandwiched by and between the parts (), in such a manner that these parts cooperate with each other to secure each die () in position.
