Abstract
A liquid residual quantity detecting method which is capable of accurately detecting the residual quantity of a liquid in an apparatus without being affected by the position of the apparatus, to thereby prevent a user from carelessly or erroneously believing that the liquid still remains. A fuel residual quantity detector detects the residual quantity of a fuel stored in a fuel storage chamberof a fuel cellof a camera. A microcomputerprovides control such that an operation for detecting the residual quantity of the fuel is executed only when the camerais in its normal position.
