Abstract
A wall structure () and method of construction. The wall structure () comprises a plurality of preformed, lightweight blocks () supported and interconnected by a plurality of elongated, vertically oriented, collateral support beams (). Preferably, the support beams () are operatively connected to an appropriate substructure () and the lightweight blocks () are operatively connected to the support beams (). The blocks () and support beams () are configured so that when they are connected to each other, a space is formed between the wall structure () and the substructure (). Thus, an assembled wall structure () may be setoff from a substructure and the substructure () may be used for other purposes.
