Abstract
A gas bag module for a vehicle occupant restraint system includes a gas generator carrier () with a base () and with a peripheral wall (), and also a covering cap () with a side wall () extending from a front wall () of the covering cap (). Detent hooks () are formed on the edge of the side wall () facing away from the front wall (), which engage into corresponding detent openings () in the base () of the gas generator carrier ().
