Abstract
In the case of a fitting for a vehicle seat, in particular for a motor vehicle seat, having a first part (), a second part () that is rotatable and lockable relative to the first part (), and a profiled shaft (), the actuation of which unlocks the fitting (), a spring () simultaneously pretensions the shaft () counter to the actuating direction and secures the shaft () relative to the fitting () in the axial direction of the shaft ().
