In order to prevent the pistons () from slipping out of the main bore () prior to assembly in the vehicle, a retaining pinis provided, which has a length greater than the diameter of the pistons () and than the diameter of the open end () of the main bore (). The pinextends through radial holes () in the spring retainer () of the compression springcoupled to the outer piston (). The pin is inserted through a small radial openingin the housingand is limited in its outward movement by a step () in the main bore ().
