Abstract

A method and an arrangement for controlling the speed of a vehicle make possible a comfortable adaptation of an incrementation or decrementation of a pregiven desired speed. The desired speed is changed by the actuation of an operator-controlled element (). The extent of the change of the desired speed is adjusted in dependence upon at least one piece of data as to the instantaneous driving situation of the vehicle.
