Abstract

The escapement includes a large platecarrying a first fingerand a blocking membercarrying a second fingerand a locking pallet-stone. The first and second fingersandare shaped such that when the large platerotates in a first direction a, the first fingerdrives the secondwhich moves around a first sideof said first finger to release the locking pallet-stone. Re-engagement occurs when the second fingerclimbs over a vertical flankof a notchmade in a small plate. When the large platerotates in a second direction b, opposite to the first, the first fingerdrives the second fingerwhich moves around a second side, opposite to the first, of said first fingerto keep the locking pallet-stonein the escapement wheel.
